Skate Night!
Immaculate Conception faithful gathered together in droves at the Frontier Ice Arena on December 6th to celebrate the upcoming feast of the Immaculate Conception. Food and drinks, face painting, camaraderie and laughing at the inexperienced falling flat on the ice made for a wonderful night of fun for all who came.
In honor of their heavenly Patroness, the ice was packed with little ones and grade-schoolers from Immaculate Conception Academy and St. Dominic's school alike, while parents found time to enjoy camaraderie with friends and fellow Catholics on the ice and in the warm lounge area.
Two mothers from the chapel offered face paintings for the children, while the ladies from the Heart of Mary Guild loaded a thirty foot fundraiser-table with cookies and sweets of all different kinds.
The turnout was large enough to comfortably pack the ice yet still leave room for the grade school boys to dangerously weave in and around unsuspecting skaters. Many thanks to all who helped to make this night a success and a fitting celebration in honor of our heavenly Queen!
